• Supervision: Students are allocated a supervisor to guide them through the research process.
Joint supervision by two staff members is possible.
• Facilities: The School boasts a wide range of facilities, including ergometers, treadmills, gas analyzers, force plates, isokinetic dynamometers, a Vicon motion capture system, electronic timing gates, blood gas analyzers, EMG systems, and access to non-invasive brain function measurement methods (EEG, TMS, NIRS) within the school and through collaborations with the cognitive neuroscience laboratory in the Department of Psychology.
• Additional Programs: The School also offers an MSc by Dissertation (MSD) and an MPhil in Sport and Exercise Psychology, both of which can be pursued full-time or part-time.

Assessment:

• Dissertation: The PhD thesis is generally completed within three to four years and has a maximum length of 80,000 words.
• Supervisory Board Meetings: Students must attend two formal supervisory board meetings each year, where they submit literature reviews and research reports for discussion and progress assessment.
• MPhil: An MPhil is usually completed in two years, with a maximum thesis length of 50,000 words.
• MSc by Dissertation (MSD): An MSD is usually completed in one year, with a maximum thesis length of 30,000 words.
