This program combines preparation studies with a BA (Hons) Global Development and Media degree at the University of East Anglia (UEA) in a three-year study plan. The program focuses on exploring the complex relationship between media, communication, and global development.


Objectives:

  • To provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role of media and communication in global development.
  • To develop students' critical thinking skills and analytical abilities in relation to global development issues.
  • To equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in development and humanitarian work.

Outline:

  • Year 1: Taught by both INTO UEA and UEA's School of Global Development.
  • Students explore the complex relationship between media, communication, and global development.
  • Years 2 and 3: Taught solely at the School of Global Development.

  • Develops professional and technical competencies highly valued by employers such as government agencies, the United Nations, consultancy firms, and NGOs that focus on development and humanitarian work.
