Program Overview
This one-year access course provides foundational skills in computing, technology, science, engineering, business, and humanities. Through lectures, tutorials, and assignments, students gain the knowledge and confidence to progress to higher certificate/ordinary degree level courses at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS). Successful completion includes passing examinations and, in some cases, interviews. The program is full-time and qualifies students for the Back to Education Allowance (BTEA) if they are social welfare recipients.

Entry Requirements:
- Mature applicants: Persons 22 years and over on 1st January of the year of entry, with or without Leaving Certificate are eligible to apply.
- Persons 21 years of age: May apply and are required to have Grade D3 at ordinary level in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate, including Mathematics and a language (English or Irish), or a NFQ Level 5 major award.
