Program Overview
The Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) program prepares individuals for careers in aviation maintenance by providing knowledge of the CAMO process, including induction, management, and delivery of aircraft maintenance services. The program is delivered online over 10 weeks with continuous online assessment. Eligible participants can receive a 25% contribution towards course fees through the Aviation Skillnet.

Degree Overview:
The Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (Certificate, L7, 10 ECTS) program aims to provide a career path within Continued Airworthiness Management Organisations technical departments, Aircraft Leasing Companies and MRO’S (Maintenance Repair Organisations) to individuals with Aviation Degree or Diploma or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Technicians. Upon successful completion, students will be familiar with and aware of the Transition CAMO process, including Induction, Management and Delivery.
Outline:
Semester 1
- Introduction to CAMO: This module introduces the concept of Continued Airworthiness Management Organisations (CAMO) and their role in the aviation industry.
- Induction & Registers: This module covers the process of inducting an aircraft into a CAMO's management system, including the establishment and maintenance of relevant registers.
- Workscope: This module explores the process of defining and managing the scope of work for aircraft maintenance tasks.
- Management: This module covers the management aspects of CAMO operations, including resource allocation, quality control, and regulatory compliance.
Delivery:
- The program is delivered online over 10 weeks.
- Classes are held on Thursdays from 6-9pm.
Time Commitment:
- Each 5 credits typically equates to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours.
- Total Learning Hours include time spent in class and completing work outside of college.
- The workload may increase at certain times, such as when assignments are due.
Assessment:
- Assessment is continuous and 100% online.
- There are no end-of-semester exams.
Careers:
- The program prepares students for careers in Continued Airworthiness Management Organisations technical departments, Aircraft Leasing Companies and MRO’S (Maintenance Repair Organisations).
Other:
- The program has secured funding under the Aviation Skillnet.
- Eligible companies and individuals can secure a contribution of 25% towards course fees.
