The program is structured into three modules:
- Aircraft Lease Principles: This module introduces the global aircraft leasing industry, highlighting Ireland's significance in the sector. It examines major stakeholders, the size and fleet of leased aircraft, and key elements of operating lease agreements. Students will learn about the responsibilities of lessors and lessees during a lease term.
- Asset Transition Financials: This module focuses on the financial aspects of aircraft as assets, including market value and influencing factors. Students will gain an understanding of the financial implications of transition management, MRO hour calculations, and the relationship between the Maintenance Reserve fund and asset management.
- Data and Project Management: This module equips students with the skills to effectively manage aircraft technical data during the transition phase. Students will also develop the ability to generate information and propose solutions to manage client obligations and expectations during negotiations.
Assessment:
The program utilizes continuous assessment, with all assessments conducted online.
Teaching:
The program is delivered online, with classes taking place one evening per week (Wednesdays) from 6pm to 9pm. However, it is designed to enhance the skills of experienced aircraft maintenance technicians and individuals with a strong understanding of aircraft technical records and airworthiness management. It aims to provide a clear roadmap for successful transitions.
