This Level 7 Special Purpose Award program is designed for aircraft maintenance personnel seeking a career path into the Aircraft Leasing Industry as Aircraft Records Technicians. Upon completion, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of aircraft technical documentation required during aircraft lease transitions. They will be equipped to develop a structured plan and execute the Lease Transition checklist, ensuring no gaps in the aircraft's history. The program emphasizes the ability to evaluate, report, and provide feedback throughout the process, collaborating with Lessors and Lessees to manage expectations and achieve a successful redelivery of all necessary documentation. Atlantic Air Adventure Aviation Centre facilitates the course.
- Aircraft Lease Contracts: This module delves into the intricacies of aircraft lease contracts, covering legal aspects, clauses, and obligations of both Lessors and Lessees.
- Continued Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO): Participants gain knowledge of CAMO functions and their role in maintaining aircraft airworthiness throughout the lease lifecycle.
- Landing Gear and Engines: This module provides in-depth knowledge of aircraft landing gear and engine systems, including maintenance procedures and documentation requirements.
- Industry Developments and Trends: This module covers current trends and advancements in the aircraft leasing industry, including technological innovations and regulatory changes.
Delivery:
- 10 weeks, 3 hours per week (online)
- Thursday evenings from 7pm to 10pm.
- Schedules are subject to change.
Time Commitment:
- Each 5 credits will normally equate to approximately 100 Total Learning Hours.
- Total Learning Hours include class time (lectures, tutorials, practical elements) and time spent completing work outside of college.
- The balance between these two varies by discipline and level of study.
- Workload will increase at particular times, such as when assignments are due.

A Level 6 qualification in aircraft maintenance, an aviation qualification at Level 6 or above or with extensive experience in the aircraft maintenance industry. or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) may be granted based on relevant experience and training in accordance with TUS’s RPL Policy. Applicants who do not have English as their first language must ensure they satisfy English Language requirements.
