The Curso de contabilidad (Accounting Course) is a 9-month university program designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in various financial fields, including public accounting, treasury management, liquidations, mergers, and acquisitions. The program emphasizes a highly practical approach, offering both curricular and extracurricular internships in companies. This hands-on experience equips students with valuable skills and knowledge essential for navigating the professional world.

Module I - Contabilidad (Accounting):
- Contabilidad avanzada (Advanced Accounting): Covers the structure of the New General Accounting Plan, conceptual framework, analysis of fixed assets and investment properties, accounting for non-current assets available for sale, explanation and definition of financial instruments.
- Contabilidad Sectorial (Sectoral Accounting): Explores sectoral adaptations of the General Accounting Plan, focusing on insurance companies, construction and real estate companies, cooperative societies, credit institutions, the electricity sector, non-profit organizations, and the wine sector.
- Contabilidad Pública (Public Accounting): Delves into accounting and the public sector, including characteristics and delimitation of the public sector, regulation of public accounting in Spain, the General Public Accounting Plan, accounting for expenditure budgets, accounting for revenue budgets, and annual accounts of public entities.
- Gestión en Tesorería y empresas en liquidación (Treasury Management and Liquidation Companies): Covers financial planning and budgeting, treasury management, introduction to liquidation companies, regulatory framework, ICAC resolutions, commercial aspects, tax aspects, accounting aspects, and specific valuation criteria for accounting for assets and liabilities in companies undergoing liquidation.
- Costes, presupuestos y aplicaciones (Costs, Budgets, and Applications): Focuses on cost calculation in industrial and commercial companies, including cost control and management, company results, cost classification, cost analysis and formation, historical, opportunity, standard, and budgeted costs. Also covers the income statement in commercial companies, analysis of commercial costs, and analysis of commercial margins in a direct costing model.
- Combinaciones de negocios. Consolidación (Business Combinations.
- Consolidation): Explores types of business combinations, accounting regulations, recording and valuation criteria, and the legal and accounting regulation of mergers. Also covers consolidation, the concept of business, the concept of control, mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, sales, the acquisition method in business combinations, the concept of a group, investments, the tax concept of a group of companies, group taxation, and group obligations.
- Análisis de estados financieros (Financial Statement Analysis): Covers the formulation and analysis of financial statements, including asset analysis, financial analysis and leverage, economic analysis, and shareholder profitability.
Module II - Otras materias (Other Subjects):
- Otras materias Económicas (Economic Subjects): Includes Corporate Income Tax.
- Otras materias Jurídicas (Legal Subjects): Covers updates in legal and commercial matters, the Capital Companies Law, listed companies in the Listed Companies Law, administrator liability.
- Entorno profesional (Professional Environment): Includes an introduction to auditing, covering basic knowledge about auditing in Spain and from the company's perspective, what an audit is and its regulation, who is an auditor and their functions, which companies are required to be audited, what Audit Technical Standards are, and what International Auditing Standards are for application in Spain (NIAES). Also covers fraud detection and money laundering protection, the auditor's position regarding the risk of fraud in the company, identification, assessment, and auditor responses to fraud, the auditor, tax and accounting advisor as a subject obliged by the Law 10/2010 on the prevention of money laundering, internal control protocol, and the sanctioning regime.
