The module also examines the creation of the product life cycle and the strategies of circular design applicable to creating fashion products with social and environmental impact.
- Innovación textil aplicada a materiales y procesos (6 ECTS): This module reviews traditional textile materials and processes, exploring the latest trends and advancements in the field of materials and processes used in the contemporary textile and fashion industry. It covers new materials, emerging technologies, and innovative manufacturing processes that enable sustainability, efficiency, and the development of digital craftsmanship in a constantly evolving sector.
- Sistemas de representación y comunicación gráfica en diseño de moda (6 ECTS): This module provides the expressive resources, supports, materials, and graphic-plastic tools that distinguish each of the systems of representation and communication in fashion design. It covers the vocabulary, methodologies, and theoretical-practical content of fashion drawing, as well as the editing, digital retouching, and vector design software necessary to represent and communicate the image of fashion.
- Patronaje y construcción digital (6 ECTS): This module focuses on the study of pattern-making techniques, emphasizing zero-waste construction, and the use of 3D garment construction software that enables the creation of virtual patterns and prototyping of virtual garments. This optimizes the design process, pattern fitting, and fabric consumption, resulting in greater precision and efficiency in garment creation, as well as reduced materials and development time.
2nd Semester:
- Proyecto y planificación de la colección de moda (6 ECTS): This module proposes the practical application and experimentation of the methodological theoretical knowledge acquired in the "Visual Thinking and Methodologies Applied to Fashion Design" module to define, conceptualize, design, and plan new fashion products or collections. It addresses the material, functional, and aesthetic requirements of each specific project, incorporating technological innovations, promoting craftsmanship, and adhering to sustainability and circularity criteria. It also focuses on planning the production of fashion collections, considering aspects such as material selection, time scheduling, and the technical feasibility of designs.
- Marketing aplicado al mercado de la moda sostenible (6 ECTS): This module focuses on brand creation and strategic planning of fashion businesses, market analysis, and opportunity identification. It also covers supply chain management, marketing, and effective promotion of brands and products. The module explores key topics such as sustainability in the fashion business, emerging trends, and the digital revolution of AI in the sector, preparing students to lead and manage successful businesses in a competitive and constantly evolving market.
