Program Overview


The Scottish Liberal Arts program at the Dundee School of Humanities offers a broad range of subjects in the humanities and social sciences, allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests and career aspirations. The program emphasizes critical thinking, research, and communication skills, preparing graduates for success in a variety of fields, including education, journalism, social media marketing, and museum administration.

Program Outline

It gives you the freedom to study several different subjects that interest and challenge you, without the requirement to specialise in only one or two. Although you also have the freedom to focus on one subject if you choose. You can choose from across the range of MA subjects in both the humanities and social sciences. Modules include: Creative Writing, Economics, English, Environmental Science, Environmental Sustainability, European Languages, Film Studies, Geography, History, International Business, Philosophy, Politics & International Relations, Psychology, Urban Planning. We work hard to combine tradition with innovation. You can study anything from Shakespeare to human rights, science fiction to African history, macroeconomics to polar environments.
