Combining your English and Politics studies gives you a very wide range of modules to choose from and can lead to a diverse range of careers. You can study the history of English literature from the medieval period right up to the present day. A wide range of modules give you the option to study anything from Shakespeare to science fiction, Romantic poetry to contemporary poetry, creative writing to visual culture, or Victorian novels to Hollywood films. Politics confronts the big issues that affect societies the world over. The MA degree means you study Politics alongside other subjects from History to Geography, languages to Psychology. At Levels 3 and 4 you will be able to specialise. Topics such as illegal drugs, gender and sexuality, environmental sustainability, and surveillance are also covered.
