Program Outline

Degree Overview:

Bradford's MPharm (Hons) Pharmacy degree is an innovative and award-winning program designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to become successful pharmacists. The program is delivered primarily through Team-Based Learning (TBL), a method that simulates real-world pharmacy practice. Students work in small teams to solve problems, many of which are brought into the classroom by pharmacist teacher-practitioners. The program aims to develop not only the technical skills of a pharmacist but also essential skills like communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Upon graduation, students must complete a 1-year pre-registration period to become qualified pharmacists. Alternatively, they can choose the 5-year MPharm program, which integrates pre-registration training, allowing students to graduate as qualified pharmacists (pending successful completion of the GPhC registration exam). Both program options are designed to prepare students for contemporary pharmacy practice and equip them with the skills and confidence to succeed in their future careers.
