Program Overview
This Honours degree in Animal Science offers an additional year of study to undergraduate Animal Science graduates. Participants engage in an intensive research project of their choice, guided by an academic, while developing advanced research skills through a specialized unit. Graduates gain eligibility for professional recognition from the Australian Institute of Agricultural Science and Technology and advanced standing for prior learning upon meeting eligibility criteria.

If you receive excellent results throughout your undergraduate Animal Science degree, you may be eligible to undertake Honours in Animal Science. Working closely with an academic, you’ll undertake an intensive research project on a topic of your choice, and further develop your research ability through an advanced research skills unit.
