Degree Overview:
This program is a Computing International Foundation Pathway, leading to a Certificate of Higher Education (Cert HE). It is designed to prepare students for a computing degree at Roehampton University. The program aims to develop students' English language skills, academic skills, and knowledge necessary for their chosen undergraduate degree. It also provides a grounding in academic study skills, digital literacy, and computational thinking.
- In-Sessional Integrated English Skills: This module provides intensive practice in English language skills, integrating them with academic study skills.
- Academic Inquiry and Exploration: This module develops students' critical thinking and research skills, equipping them to conduct independent academic inquiry.
Assessment:
- Online tests: These assessments evaluate students' understanding of key concepts and their ability to apply knowledge.
- Presentations: Students present their research and findings, demonstrating their communication and presentation skills.
- Essays: Written essays allow students to demonstrate their critical thinking, analytical skills, and ability to synthesize information.
