Program Overview
The University of South Carolina offers a fully online, asynchronous, 100% M.Ed. in Teaching program for certified teachers who wish to advance their careers while working. Designed to meet the demands of working educators, the program offers four specializations and an option to create a research project. It is accredited and taught by the same faculty who teach on campus, utilizing innovative teaching approaches.

Degree Overview:
This program is designed for certified teachers who wish to continue working while pursuing a master's degree in education. It is a 100% online, asynchronous program that can be completed in two years (2 courses per semester including summers). The program is accredited and designed to meet the needs of working educators. Students can specialize in one of four high-demand areas: literacy and reading, multicultural contexts in education, project-based learning, or English for speakers of other languages. The program also includes the opportunity to create a research project.
