The program is structured as follows:

  • Year 1 - PG Certificate in Sustainability in Enterprise (NFQ Level 9, Minor Award):
  • Students take modules worth 30 credits.
  • Modules include:
  • CE6045 Introduction to Sustainability & the Natural Environment (10 credits)
  • CE6046 Introduction to Sustainable Enterprise (10 credits)
  • CE6047 Systems Thinking in Environmental Sustainability (10 credits)
  • Year 2 - MSc in Sustainability in Enterprise (NFQ Level 9, Major Award):
  • Students take an additional 60 credits, bringing the total to 90 credits.
  • Modules include:
  • CE6048 Responsible Management for Sustainable Enterprise (10 credits)
  • CE6049 Sustainable Resource Management and Decarbonisation (10 credits)
  • CE6050 Applied Research Methods in Sustainability in Enterprise (10 credits)

Teaching:

  • The program is delivered online on a part-time basis.
  • Students participate in live online lectures (2 or 3 hours) one evening per week during each academic year.
  • There is also self-directed online study (2 hours) and pre-recorded lectures each week.
  • Six online seminars (1 to 2 hours each) are held each year.
  • Four 1-day-long online workshops are conducted during each academic year, typically on Fridays.
  • The program is taught by leading academic experts in sustainability from the three participating universities.
