This part-time program combines two micro-credentials in inclusive dance. It provides people with physical disabilities and neurodiverse profiles access to higher education in dance making, improvisation, and choreography. The program runs from January to May 2024 and includes 2-day blocks, intensives, and practical learning.

Outline:
The program consists of two integrated micro-credentials:
- Introduction to Inclusive Dance: Steps Toward Choreography (DR1020): This micro-credential focuses on developing practical skills in choreography and performative stage presence. It aims to provide part-time learners with disAbility access to higher education and creative skills in dance making, improvisation, and choreography.
- Introduction to Inclusive Dance: Improvisation as a Method for Inclusion (DR1021): This micro-credential explores improvisation as a key technique for inclusion in contemporary dance. It aims to develop refined improvisational skills and provide access to higher education for part-time learners with disAbility.
Structure and Schedule:
- Both micro-credentials are taken concurrently over 8 x 2-day blocks in a dance laboratory setting at Firkin Crane.
- The program runs from January to May 2024.
- The schedule includes:
- Five 2-day blocks
- One 5-day intensive
Teaching:
- Teaching Mode: Part-Time

- Primary Target Audience: People with physical disAbility and/or neurodiverse profiles who have a strong passion for and interest in the performing arts, the stage arts and movement, but who have not been able to access specific educational frameworks that work with their own specific learning styles, body alignments and unique talents.
