  • Accreditation: The ERSE program is expected to be accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) before the first students graduate in the 2026 Spring/Summer semester.
  • Transition from Petroleum System Engineering (PSE) Program: The ERSE program and the current PSE program will coexist until all undergraduate students admitted to the PSE program graduate.
  • Admission to the ERSE program will be open to second-year undergraduate students in the Fall 2023 semester.
  • Graduate Level: The Petroleum Systems Engineering program at the graduate level will remain available to Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science students.
