The integrated foundation year at Confetti London is designed for those who want to gain knowledge and insight into the creative and entertainment industries before specializing in their chosen degree. Students will learn about the creative and entertainment industries through lectures, seminars, and practical settings. The assessment methods are similar to the other degree years, with a mix of exams and essays, preparing students for their full honors degree. The course focuses on the methodical planning, long hours, people management, last-minute changes, and challenges involved in event management. Students will have opportunities to work on real-life events through industry connections and Confetti's live music and events venues, collaborating with in-house expert teams and external partners.

Year One

  • Explore (20 Credit Points): Introduces the creative industries, exploring their history, development, ethical and sustainable issues, cultural and economic impact, and key trends.
  • Create (20 Credit Points): Focuses on product development within the creative industries, covering market research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and launch.
  • Evaluate (20 Credit Points): Develops self-evaluation skills in relation to practical work, encouraging students to evaluate their work based on feedback and self-assessment.
  • Present (20 Credit Points): Develops presentation skills, covering creating effective visual aids, storytelling, audience engagement, and time management.
  • Produce (20 Credit Points): Focuses on practical skills and techniques for creating successful products, providing hands-on experience in using design software, prototyping tools, and project management software.
