Program Overview
This program explores the intricate environments that shape civil engineering, architecture, and construction organizations. It equips students with the skills to navigate organizational strategies, manage complex data, and promote diversity and understanding in the industry. Upon completion, students receive a CPD certificate and the option to contribute credits towards a postgraduate award.
Program Outline
Objectives:
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- evaluate the different and complex environments within which civil engineering, design and construction organisations operate
- determine and critically discuss the nature of different business strategies and their implementations
- summarise and evaluate the strategic and implementation capabilities required to plan and manage a business in a multiplicity of complex environments and organisation structures
- explore the social, cultural and political diversity between peoples in order to promote tolerance, understanding and acceptance of those diversities to reduce cultural barriers between parties in construction projects and/or in the construction industry.
- participate and communicate confidently on a range of issues affecting the corporate world and projects within a civil engineering context.
Teaching:
Teaching and learning will take place using a flexible programme of lectures, workshops, computer labs, seminars and tutorials.
Other:
A CPD certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course. Successful completion can also contribute 15 credits towards a postgraduate award.
The fee for this course is £995. Payment is due before the course starts.
