It aims to improve English language and academic study skills. The program offers a year-long (September entry) or 8-month (January entry) option. It also includes 4, 6, and 12-week courses.
Careers:
The pre-sessional courses are for students who have applied to one of Edinburgh Napier University's programs. Upon successful completion of the course, students can progress to their chosen course.

- The program includes opportunities to immerse oneself in Edinburgh and Scotland's culture through visits to tourist attractions and historic sites.
- Practical help is provided to settle into life in a new city.
- The pre-sessional courses are designed to suit a range of abilities.
- Students on the 8-month English language program will receive two Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) letters - one for the English language course and one for their degree program (on the assumption of passing the Edinburgh Napier University language exam).
- The program offers 4, 6, and 12-week pre-sessional English language courses throughout the year, as well as in-session English study support classes.
