  • Students will shadow their midwifery mentors working a variety of shift patterns to meet the needs of their case load.

Study Abroad:

  • Students have the opportunity to arrange an elective midwifery placement in Year 3.
  • Placements can be arranged outwith NHS Lothian and Borders or with international partners or organizations.
  • Students have previously undertaken placements in Australia, New Zealand, Holland, Belgium, Zambia, and various other countries.
