This Economics PhD by Published Works programme offers graduates in Economics or a related discipline the chance to undertake a substantial piece of work worthy of publication, making an original contribution to the field of economics. Teaching:

The program provides general, face-to-face project-specific training initially, allowing students to conduct research effectively and independently. Students are expected to transfer from MPhil to the PhD program within the first twelve months, requiring a detailed research proposal and ethics approval. They will present their written work to an academic audience and undergo an internal viva examination. Each student is assigned a supervisory team consisting of a Director of Study (DOS), first and second supervisors. Students are required to work independently on their research under the guidance of their supervisory team, engaging in independent research and attending regular supervision meetings to discuss progress, action plans, and improvement suggestions.
