Program Description:

  • Apprentices will work in a full-time job with one day a week (6 hours minimum) dedicated to studying.
  • They will engage with one of five specialisms: Business Analysis, IT Consultancy, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, or Data Analysis.
  • Apprentices come from a range of organizations, from SMEs to large multinational companies across various sectors.

  • Year 3: Includes two compulsory taught modules (15 credits each), one elected specialism module (15 credits), and 45 credits of work-based learning.
  • Year 4: Includes one elected specialism module (15 credits), one chosen module (15 credits), and 60 credits of work-based learning for the final project.

  • Applicants must also have a valid and eligible residency status to gain entry onto the apprenticeship.
  • Other qualifications of a similar level can be considered.
  • Applicants with non-standard qualifications are encouraged to contact the university to discuss their eligibility.
  • A good undergraduate degree may be offered to meet entry requirements.
  • The Education and Skills Funding Agency requires apprentices to hold a level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics.
  • Applicants without GCSE's (C /4 or above) in English and Maths should be willing to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications prior to Gateway.
