Degree Overview:
The PGCert Global Sustainability Solutions (Online) is an 8-month, part-time online program offered by the University of Exeter. It is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to address today's most pressing sustainability challenges. The program focuses on key sustainability solution issues, including:
- Communication: Developing and applying skills to communicate sustainability concepts to diverse audiences and drive meaningful change.
- Environmental economics: Focusing on the role of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics for businesses and other organizations. The program leverages the expertise of the University of Exeter's Global Systems Institute (GSI) and Business School, providing students with access to the latest research and insights from world-leading scholars committed to shaping a sustainable future.
- Environmental Economics (GSS): This module focuses on environmental economics, with a particular emphasis on the role of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics for businesses and other organizations.

The PGCert program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for a sustainability-oriented career, including:

- Systems thinking and environmental economics: Applying systems thinking and environmental economics understandings, including Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) principles, to sustainability challenges.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving: Operating as a critical thinker and problem-solver.
- Influence and change: Influencing and enacting meaningful sustainability-oriented change. Students have full access to the Careers and Employability Team, who can offer support in terms of skills training, internship opportunities, job vacancies, employment fairs, and various other career advancement events.
