Degree Overview:
This online part-time course supports educational professionals to conduct doctoral research into their own professional practice in education.
Objectives:
- Become a doctoral researcher
- Improve professional practice to impact on teaching and learning
- Be trained in a cohort on the conceptual frameworks for educational research, methodology, ethics, literature reviewing and data collection
- Be supported in conducting your project to completion and publication.
Teaching:
- During the taught phase, students will be trained in a cohort on the conceptual frameworks for educational research, methodology, ethics, literature reviewing and data collection.
- The course is delivered online, with two 2-day virtual conferences and one virtual workshop per year.
- Students will have the opportunity to interact with other students in their cohort and participate in workshops.
- Students will also be able to interact with researchers from other faculties and listen to invited speakers from other institutions.
- Students will join a community of practitioners, teachers and educators, all sharing good practice and working collaboratively to address common issues around creative and media education.
