Program Overview
This program prepares Practical Nurse graduates for the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) through a combination of face-to-face instruction, study strategies, and a personalized study plan based on a Predictor Test. The course covers the CPNRE Blueprint content, including cognitive levels, competency categories, and client age categories. Students receive a Performance Profile to identify areas for improvement and benefit from experienced instructors and a personalized approach to studying.

This course is designed to help Practical Nurse graduates prepare for the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE). It is offered face-to-face in a classroom and computer lab setting. The course includes:
- Review of study and test-taking strategies: Students will learn effective techniques for studying and taking the CPNRE.
- CPNRE classroom Predictor Test: Students will take a two-hour online test consisting of 85 multiple-choice questions that align with the CPNRE Blueprint.
- Personalized study plan development: After completing the Predictor Test, students will receive a Performance Profile that identifies their strengths and weaknesses. The instructor will then help them create a personalized study plan to address their specific needs.
