Program Overview
The BSc (Hons) Animal Therapy program at ARU prepares students for careers as equine or canine massage therapists. It offers opportunities for registration with the Animal Health Professions' Register and potential transfer to an integrated Masters degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. Graduates can also pursue further studies, such as an MSc in Animal Welfare and Conservation.

As a BSc (Hons) Animal Therapy graduate, you'll be ready to work as an equine or canine massage therapist or explore career paths in related industries. You can register with the Animal Health Professions' Register. Students who complete the first year of their Animal Therapy degree to a high standard (50% overall stage average and a Pass for both Equine and Canine OSPE practical exams), may have the opportunity to transfer to our MVetPhys Veterinary Physiotherapy integrated Masters degree. This four-year qualifies you to work as a veterinary physiotherapist. Graduation doesn't have to be the end of your time with us.
UK students starting 2024/25 (full-time, per year) - £9,250 International students starting 2024/25 (full-time, per year) - £15,900 International students: We offer a scholarship of £2,000 to international students starting courses at Writtle in 2024-25. This scholarship is automatically deducted from your fees. You can pay your fees upfront, in full or in two instalments. We will ask for a deposit of £4,000 or a sponsorship letter
