Program Overview
The Records Management and Information Rights PGCert is an online course that provides students with core competencies in records management and information rights. It covers theoretical and practical aspects, with a focus on legislation and management of current and semi-current records. Accredited by the UK Archives and Records Association and RIM Professionals Australasia, the course is designed for professionals working or volunteering in records management roles.
Program Outline
It provides students with the basic core competencies, knowledge, and skills required to work professionally in records management and/or information rights. The course has a focus on a mix of the theoretical and the practical. Students must be working or volunteering in an appropriate professional environment both prior to and throughout their studies so they can apply what they are learning. They will also learn about the management of current and semi-current records and how the strict requirements of legislation can be applied to working environments nationally, internationally, and within their own corporate environment.
