This program offers a cutting-edge approach to statistics and operational research, developed in collaboration with prominent industrial partners. There are typically more than ten fully funded spots available each year. Collaboration with industrial partners, such as BT, IBM, and AstraZeneca, ensures the program produces highly skilled researchers prepared for careers in academia or industry. The program commences with an MRes, which provides a solid foundation and develops research skills. Students will identify a research topic and plan their PhD research. They will also develop a versatile skill set including: advanced problem-solving, programming, and a broad range of presentation and dissemination skills. The remaining three years will be devoted to working on the PhD project under the guidance of appropriate supervisory teams. During this time, students will participate in a range of training programs and experience visits to world-leading universities.
