Program Overview
The Master of Engineering in Mechatronics program is a one-year, full-time program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of mechanical engineering, electronics, and computer science. The program consists of core and optional modules that allow students to specialize in either mechanical design or software and control. Upon graduation, students will be well-equipped for careers in manufacturing and automated manufacturing systems, including roles such as automation engineers, manufacturing engineers, and research and development engineers.

The M.Eng in Mechatronics is a one year, full-time programme and the mode of operation is based on the modular system. It consist of a taught component extending over two semesters, with a Mechatronics project taken over a third semester. The project presents a piece of significant original work with high analytical content. The programme comprises core and optional modules which allow one of two pathways to be taken through the programme. One pathway has an emphasis on mechanical design, the other pathway concentrates on software and control. The course comprises 12 modules in total.
