International Business with a Modern Language (MBus Degree)
Program Overview
This five-year undergraduate program combines core business courses with language learning and an international experience. Students spend a year abroad taking classes in their chosen language at a partner business school. The program also includes a year-long Management Development Programme and emphasizes international business knowledge, language fluency, and intercultural understanding, preparing graduates for global business careers.

- Year 1, 2 & 3:
- Core classes in International Business and the Management Development Programme.
- Choose a language to study.
- Year 4:
- Spend this year in a business school in the country of your chosen language.
- All classes are taken in the foreign language.
- Year 5:
- Take the core business class Contemporary Issues and Trends in International Business, your business specialism, and your language.
- In-depth research project.

Teaching:
- Taught by Strathclyde Business School and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
- International partners contribute as guest lectures and in business games.
- Management Development Programme (MDP) is at the core of undergraduate degrees in the Business School.
- MDP comprises a series of classes taken throughout Years 1 to 3.
- Develop knowledge and skills in key areas of management, team-working, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Major employers and alumni from all sectors are involved in the MDP.

Essential textbooks are approximately £200 per year. However, there will be a minimum of 2 copies of textbooks in the main library. Key language texts are used over 2 or 3 years of study. Multiple copies are also available in the University Library.
