Outline:

The LLB Law with French program is a four-year program. The first year of the program is spent studying the core law subjects of Legal Methods and Public Law 1. Students also begin studying French language and culture in the first year. In the second year, students continue to study core law subjects, including Criminal Law 1, Public Law 2, Involuntary Obligations, Delict and Unjustified Enrichment, Property, and Domestic Relations. Students also continue to study French language and culture, with a focus on developing their spoken and written French skills. In the third year, students choose one law elective from a list of options. Students also continue to study French language and culture, with a focus on developing their research and presentation skills. In the fourth year, students spend a year abroad studying at one of the University of Strathclyde's partner universities in France. This year abroad provides students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in French culture and to develop their French language skills. In the fifth year, students return to the University of Strathclyde to complete their studies. Students choose two honors classes in law and a legal issue on which to focus their dissertation. Students also continue to study French language and culture, with a focus on developing their professional communication skills.
