Degree Overview:

UniSQ's Master of Education (Special and Inclusive Education) equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in educational settings that promote the inclusion of all learners, particularly those with disabilities and additional learning needs. The program aims to enhance students' expertise in working with students with learning difficulties, enabling them to support general education teachers in developing and implementing individualized programs. Students will explore areas such as positive behavior support, autism, differentiation, learning difficulties, wellbeing, trauma, and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) within special and inclusive education contexts. The program also emphasizes the transformative role of education in society and develops students' abilities to address contemporary challenges faced by educators in diverse communities. Students will have the opportunity to apply their experiences to their studies and develop a research project based on their current workplace.

  • 4 core courses
  • 4 specialization courses

Careers:

  • Students who complete the Advanced Research Pathway may be eligible for entry to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
