Program Overview
This Internal Audit Course equips participants with an understanding of quality management and its application in internal auditing. Focused on improving the effectiveness of quality management systems, the course covers topics including ISO requirements, financial statement analysis, and fraud detection. Through case studies and exercises, participants gain insights into the impact of technology on internal audits and recognize potential financial statement reporting risks.
Program Outline
The objective is to improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) and add value to the organization. Participants will learn how key business processes relate to financial statements and the impact of technology on financial auditing. The course includes case study exercises where participants analyze financial statements, calculate key ratios, and analyze trends over time. It also covers topics like "common recipes for cooking the books" and discusses historic and current fraud cases to help participants recognize "red flags" in financial statement reporting.
