The ten-week Skills Bootcamp in UX/UI Design provides a comprehensive foundation in user experience and user interface design. It combines online teaching, in-person workshops, and practical projects to equip learners with industry-relevant skills. Funding is available for eligible students, and employer involvement adds practical relevance to the program.

The Skills Bootcamp in UX/UI Design is a ten-week, Level 3 program that focuses on the core fundamentals of user experience and user interface design.
Course Structure:
- Week 1: Welcome, tech and learning environment setup, introduction to the wellbeing, employability, and careers program.
- Week 2: UX/UI design process, project planning, and design briefs.
- Week 3: Research, ideation methods, practical Figma session.
- Week 4: UX theories, laws of UX, practical Figma session.
- Week 5: UI Design (typography, color, systems), Transform Digital UI workshop, practical Figma session.
- Week 6: Accessibility (with visiting agency Transform Digital), wireframes and flows, practical Figma session.
- Week 7: Wireframes, prototyping, practical Figma session.
- Week 8: User testing, Unite Students practical, in-person UI Workshop, practical Figma session.
- Week 9: Launch and iteration of project, practical Figma session.
- Week 10: Project exhibition.
In-Person Days:
- Week 1: 25 September, 10am - 2pm (Ignite your career with creativity, curiosity, wisdom, and positivity workshop)
- Week 5: 22 October, 10am - 2pm (Interactive, in-person UX workshop with Transform Digital)
- Week 8: 12 November, times TBC (In-person UI workshop with Unite Students)
Teaching:
Teaching takes place online, with the opportunity to attend in-person workshops. Students receive six hours of compulsory online teaching per week.
Optional Sessions:
- Optional Figma practical session every Wednesday from week two, one hour in length.

- Employers may be required to pay up to 30% of the total fees depending on the size of the company.
- Students must be aged 19+, living in Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset, Bristol, or South Gloucestershire, have the right to live and work in the UK, and agree to provide mandatory personal data and supplementary information on their career outcomes.
- Students must not have completed a Skills Bootcamp funded by the Department for Education in the last 12 months.
- The program requires a device with a steady internet connection, sufficient RAM and memory, a working microphone, speakers, and web camera.
- The program cannot be undertaken on a mobile device.
- The program is regulated by Ofsted, ensuring quality and a good learning experience.
- Ofsted may inspect the University during the delivery of the Skills Bootcamp.
