This Skills Bootcamp provides a comprehensive introduction to the Agile methodology, covering core principles, roles, and practices. Through hands-on project work, guest speakers, and expert instruction, participants will gain practical skills and knowledge in Agile project management.   • Week 1:
  • Introductions, Introduction to project management, What is Agile?, Stakeholder, change and risk management
  • Week 2:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools, Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Week 3:
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation, Responding to change over following a plan, Revision of previous learning
  • Week 4:
  • The Agile mindset, Roles in Agile teams
  • Week 5:
  • Common Agile practices
  • Week 6:

  • Practical Agile sprint, Full revision, BCS exam

  • In-Person Days:
  • Week 1:
  • 5 September, 10am - 2pm (Ignite your career with creativity, curiosity, wisdom and positivity in this unique one day workshop.)
  • Week 7: 15 October, 10am - 3pm (All day Agile Sprint workshop)
  • Week 7:
  • 16 October, 9am - 3pm (Final exam)

Assessment:

  • Formal Assessments: Happen at key points during the course but are not pass-or-fail.
  • They are a tool to identify your strengths and weaknesses to help you reach your goals during the Skills Bootcamp.
  • Course Project: You'll create and deliver a course project where you'll have the opportunity to showcase the skills you've learned.

Teaching:

  • Teaching Methods: Highly experienced lecturers, guest speakers, group exercises, online learning, hands-on project work based on real scenarios.
  • This includes help with interviews, updating your CV and putting together a business plan.
  • Networking: You'll be invited to a Skills Bootcamps students and alumni LinkedIn group in which you can network and celebrate your career success with your fellow learners.
  • Job Vacancies: You'll be sent a monthly newsletter with the latest job vacancies and networking events.

Other:

  • Wellbeing, Employability and Careers Programme: Focuses on an evidence-based approach, integrating a positive psychological and coaching approach with employability and career skills.
  • Wellbeing and Careers Coaching: One-to-one sessions offered when you start your Skills Bootcamp, with two further opportunities during and after your course.
  • Wellbeing, Careers and Creativity Immersions: Offered during the course.
  • Networking Events: With local employers, Skills Bootcamp alumni and fellow learners.
  • Ofsted Regulation: All Skills Bootcamp providers must meet Ofsted’s framework regulations, ensuring you have a good experience on your learning journey.
