This program takes the concept of "you are what you eat" a step further. It delves into the relationship between human health, mindfulness, nutrition, metabolism, and food as medicine. The program aims to teach students how the body responds physiologically and metabolically to food, enabling them to enhance the lives of people in hospitals, public health, and fitness organizations. Upon graduation, students will have the prerequisites needed to continue their education and apply for the UAB Registered Dietitian Nutritionist program.
