The MS Program in Forensic Biology is a full-time, two-year program designed to prepare students for advancement and professional development in the field of forensic biology. It is a unique program that combines classroom learning with hands-on experience in an actual forensic laboratory. Students will work alongside practicing scientists who serve as faculty and mentors, gaining an unparalleled educational experience.


Objectives:

The program aims to provide students with expertise in all areas of forensic biology, including:

  • Serological Identification of Biological Fluids & Tissues
  • Molecular Biology & Genetics
  • The program also focuses on the biological aspects of forensic science and provides access to the same instrumentation used in top crime labs.

Other:

  • The program is offered in partnership with the Center for Forensic Science Research and Education (CFSRE).
  • Courses are taught at both the Jefferson Center City campus and the CFSRE laboratory in Willow Grove, PA.
  • The program includes a guaranteed internship, career readiness training, and business management and leadership coursework.
  • The program is designated as a Professional Science Master’s (PSM) degree.
