Mexican American Studies (also known as Chicano Studies) is a multi-disciplinary concentration that will expose you to a wide range of topics relevant to the Mexican-American experience. This course of study will offer you valuable insights and skills to complement most majors in Nursing, Business, Education, Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities.
Outline:
The Mexican American studies minor degree requires a minimum of 18 credits:
- 3 credits - Introduction to Mexican American Studies
- 3 credits - Political/Social Science
- 6 credits - Linguistic/Literary
- 6 credits - Cultural/Historical
