Degree Overview:
The Probationary Principal Certification/Intern Certificate is a graduate academic certificate designed for individuals who have been offered a position requiring principal certification but have not yet completed the full principal certification program. This certificate is awarded only when a school district offers a position requiring this specific certification and before the student obtains their standard principal certification.
Other:
- The program requires the candidate to have completed at least 4 UNT Educational Leadership courses and passed the TExES 268 certification exam.
- During the probationary or internship certification period, the candidate must be enrolled in the internship course or professional practice course at UNT.
- The school district must sign a form stating that the candidate has been offered a position requiring principal certification.
