Degree Overview:
The Advertising Creative Certificate is a program designed for students interested in working on the creative side of advertising. It consists of 18 semester credit hours and includes courses in both copywriting and art direction, as well as the computer programs used by creative advertising professionals. Students will develop their portfolios as part of their coursework.

- The program teaches advanced art direction, creative portfolio development, visual strategy, and developing ads for television, print, and the web.
- Students can participate in supervised, intensive practical experience working with SWOOP or GRAVITAS, the national advertising campaigns competition.
- Professional internships and practicum opportunities are also available.
- The certificate is open to students in the College of Visual Arts and Design.
