  • Management of Workplace Health: Explores the definition and measurement of workplace, health, and wellbeing, approaches to identifying risks and opportunities, and strategies for prioritizing workplace health and wellbeing activities.
  • Work-related Stress, Organizations and Culture: Examines work-related stress, depression, or anxiety, its management, and the application of psychological theories to its management.
  • Absence, Rehabilitation and Retention: Considers attendance, sickness absence, presenteeism, and leaveism, and evidence-based approaches to employee rehabilitation following absence.
  • Contemporary Issues in Workplace Health: Explores contemporary issues facing workplace health and wellbeing practitioners and the role of theory and scientific evidence in understanding and managing these issues.
  • Workplace Health and Wellbeing Research and Evaluation Methods: Fosters a community of research practitioners who can collect, analyze, interpret, and draw informed conclusions on qualitative and quantitative data to make recommendations on actions to protect and promote workers' health and wellbeing.
  • Promotion of Workplace Health and Wellbeing: Examines the business case for workplace health promotion, introduces contemporary psychological theories of behavior change, and explores how these theories provide an understanding of workers' behaviors and inform the design of interventions to encourage healthy choices.
  • Applied Research Project: Theory and Practice: A year-long module where students conduct an applied research project, applying skills and knowledge acquired during the taught part of the course.
