This MSc Biotechnology and Enterprise program is a one-year, full-time program jointly taught by the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health and Alliance Manchester Business School. The program aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge to translate scientific discoveries into inventions and commercial products. It focuses on developing research skills in biotechnology and scientific knowledge applicable to a range of careers, including consulting, business development, research and development management, patent engineering, technical specialization, and pursuing a PhD. The University of Manchester is ranked 7th in the UK for Business and Management and for Biological Sciences (QS World University Rankings 2023).

For entry in the academic year beginning September 2024, the tuition fees are as follows: MSc (full-time) UK students (per annum): £15,500 International, including EU, students (per annum): £37,000 Self-funded international applicants for this course will be required to pay a deposit of £1000 towards their tuition fees before a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is issued.
