MSc Subsurface Energy Engineering

Overview

The MSc Subsurface Energy Engineering program focuses on the modelling and simulation of subsurface properties and processes in industrial applications to assist with the transition to a cleaner energy system. The program covers topics such as carbon capture and storage, geothermal energy, groundwater resources, and ground mechanics and stability.


Entry Requirements

  • Upper second (2.1) class honours degree in engineering subjects (chemical, civil, mechanical, petroleum engineering), or in geological sciences (geology, geophysics, petroleum geology, petrophysics, hydrogeology) with an evident background in engineering mathematics.
  • Relevant industrial experience may also be considered alongside a previous degree.
