For entry in the academic year beginning September 2024, the tuition fees are as follows: MSc (full-time) UK students (per annum): £14,000 International, including EU, students (per annum): £34,000 Self-funded international applicants for this course will be required to pay a deposit of £1,000 towards their tuition fees or provide a sponsor letter (which we must first confirm), before a confirmation of acceptance for studies (CAS) is issued. This deposit will only be refunded if immigration permission is refused.

Entry Requirements:
- Undergraduate Degree: Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree (First or Upper Second) or an overseas equivalent in a relevant biomedical or medical subject.
- Intercalating Medical Students: The course is open to intercalating medical students from both the University of Manchester and other UK universities. For intercalating MBChB students, satisfactory achievement in Years 1-3 or 1-4 is required, with normally no failure at any examination, along with research motivation.
- Other Experience: Applicants with other professional (including midwifery) or research-related experience will be considered.
- Research Proposal/Experience: Applicants are not required to develop a research proposal or have prior research experience.
