This advanced clinical practice program focuses on evidence-based therapeutic interventions and health promotion, assessing students through coursework, a portfolio of case reviews, and formatively. It aims to prepare students for complex patient cases, shared decision-making, and the advancement of clinical skills while considering the validity and reliability of interventions.

Assessment:
- Coursework 1, 100%
- Portfolio of evidence — Incorporating evidence-based case reviews focusing on therapeutic interventions, complex cases and health promotion.
- Formative assessment
- Submission of 'Portfolio of Learning' evidencing achievement of Advanced Clinical Practice capabilities (HEE MPF 2017) or apprenticeship standard descriptors (5T0564).
Other:
- The module will normally address:
- Validity & reliability of therapeutic interventions
- Shared decision making
- Development of advanced clinical skills
- Caring for patients with complex and unpredictable presentations
