Outline:
- The PgCert Pharmacovigilance is a course developed by the School of Life and Medical Sciences at the University and the Pharmaceutical Information and Pharmacovigilance Association (PIPA).
- The course consists of eight modules, each worth 15 credits.
- Students must complete four modules to earn the PgCert, and all eight modules to earn the PgDip or MSc.
- Modules are taught over three-day intensive courses, with additional pre- and post-coursework activities.
- Modules cover a range of topics in pharmacovigilance, including:
- Drug Safety in Clinical Trials
- Adverse Drug Reactions by Major Body Systems II
- Management of Pharmacovigilance Data
- Principles of Pharmacovigilance
- Adverse Drug Reactions by Major Body Systems I
- Pharmacoepidemiology
- Labelling and Risk Management
- Pharmacovigilance Regulations and Guidelines
Assessment:
- Assessment is based on coursework and examinations.
