Program Outline

Degree Overview:

• Overview: This one-year top-up course allows you to gain a full honours degree if you’ve already completed a business administration course which is equivalent to the first two years of a relevant UK degree (such as an HND, Foundation Degree or overseas diploma).
You’ll delve into the study of international organisations, their management, and the changing external environment in which they operate.
• Objectives: Graduates from this course will be well equipped to go straight into an influential management/leadership role.
• Description: The course will accelerate your development as a manager and leader.

Outline:

• Content: The course covers topics such as Business Strategy, Business Ethics & Sustainability, and applies this new knowledge to real-world business simulations.
It also includes modules about business in emerging economies, particularly the emerging Asian economy, with a focus on sustainability embedded throughout the program.
• Structure: The course is delivered in-person on the Preston Campus and is a full-time program.

This module provides an introduction to strategy and a range of models and theories so you can understand their use in different contexts. The focus is on the development of strategy and strategic concerns given that strategy is inextricably linked to the nature, structure, and success of business. • Employability and Entrepreneurship:
Explore different career opportunities and the enterprise, entrepreneurship and employability skills required for the various career routes. You'll develop the skills to enhance your employability through a range of practical actions and reflection to help you to pursue your chosen career path. (Module code: BM3029)

The Future of Work module will cover contemporary issues in international labour markets. Including the ongoing issues that are changing the labour market landscape, offering a reflection of topical research themes, based on both theoretical and applied policy studies. (Module code: BM3007)
• Contemporary Issues in Sustainability:
This module will explore the key issues in sustainability, and ethics. It will encourage you to apply this knowledge to critically appraise the complex interactions and trade-offs between environmental, economic, and social objectives. (Module code: BM3009)
• Cross-Cultural People Management:
This module aims to combine a concise overview of cross-cultural people management concepts through a learning-by-doing approach appropriate to aspiring graduates at stepping into the job market. • Methods: Essays, reports, oral presentations, and group assessments.

• Methods: Lectures, seminars, practical sessions, group activities, and independent study.
