Degree Overview:

The MSc in Medical Imaging is designed to provide advanced education in various clinical specialties within the diagnostic radiography profession. It aims to enhance knowledge and skills in specialized areas of imaging, critically evaluate research, implement best practices, reflect on clinical practices, evaluate and enhance service delivery and patient outcomes, and develop critical thinking, leadership, management, and service evaluation skills.


Outline:

The program is organized on a part-time basis and consists of Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma, and Final Stage Dissertation. Modules are delivered by experts in specialist imaging, clinical specialists, and physicists.


Assessment:

Assessment methods include written essays, reflective case studies, reflective portfolios, practice audits, practical examinations (OSCEs), computer-based examinations, seminar presentations, written project reports, and dissertations.


Teaching:

Modules are delivered through block attendance weeks, work-based learning modules are supported with directed learning and materials on the virtual learning environment, and MSc dissertations are supported by research supervisors. Lectures and tutorials are delivered by subject specialists, advanced practitioners, radiologists, physicists, and researchers.
