Concepts of Children and Young People Imaging (Level 7)

This module enhances knowledge and skills in children and young person imaging within the healthcare setting. Participants gain expertise through clinical practice and reflective journaling, culminating in a 4,000-word essay demonstrating the application of module learning in their work context. The program supports career progression in paediatric imaging, including advanced reporting roles in musculoskeletal systems.

Degree Overview:
This module enables the participant to achieve and expand upon knowledge in the practice of children and young persons imaging.
Assessment:
- Formative assessment: Throughout the period of the module each student will keep a reflective diary/journal detailing application of the content of the module to the workplace.
- Summative assessment: 4,000-word essay. Essay is to be related to a topic of choice based on the learning from the reflective diary/journal.
Careers:
This module is beneficial for specialist staff currently working with paediatric imaging departments or those with an interest in paediatric imaging. Professionals undertaking this module will be able to use their knowledge and skills to enhance the service they provide in accordance with their employer's policies. Completion of the module may be used as evidence to support career progression, to include musculoskeletal system reporting as part of an Advanced Practitioner role.
